The Retreat: The Neighborhood. The other homes that are private residences in The Retreat are every bit as exquisite as the English cottage style home that this series is about. I was out seeing what was new the other day and decided that it would be interesting just to show the other homes in the neighborhood. They are mainly stone and brick exterior homes that are heavily customized. I’ve never had the opportunity to look inside any of them (there are currently 4 completed homes) but wouldn’t pass it up if an invite came my way.
Have a look and be sure to click on the photos for an enlarged view. For the sake of identification I’m calling them House A, B & C. I’ll be adding House D when I have the opportunity to get some that turn out better than the first time around.
The newest addition to the neighborhood is underway, shown above.

Home B
Home C
And finally, a look at Kennesaw Mountain through the trees when leaving the neighborhood

I started as a home-stalker… visiting brand new homes under construction in the neighborhoods near my house.
That inspired me to write about home building and home renovation projects — chronicling homes during different phases of construction from a consumer’s point-of-view. Basically, the tips you’ll find in my articles are a collection of checklists for what I think should (and should not) go into building or remodeling a quality home.
