Wide Toilet Seats and Other Innovative Toilet Designs

| Comments (3)

No offense intended...butt...put the fork down and read up.

We were browsing in one of the big box home improvement stores recently and noticed that Crane Plumbing has answered nature's call by designing a "comfort width" toilet for those looking for a wider parking space in their lavatory.

That's right...now you can buy your very own high performance, ADA (comfort-height) approved, extra wide seat...toilet! In fact, the seat is 2" wider than a regular commode seat.

A Wider Toilet Seat is a Better Toilet Seat

Crane Plumbing is inviting it's (portly) customers to "Experience the New Size of Comfort." Apparently, Crane is hoping that a butt-load of customers will take the plunge and switch out their old skinny toilet and replace it with its' new "wide load" royal throne.

Seriously, a fat toilet should provide a higher level of comfort for those sporting a back-side on the plump end of the scale.

I am 6'4 and 250Lbs,toilet seat was comfortable, and had full support. Not like those dainty toto ones. Rock solid & had rock solid base. Crane may have a novel idea in a stagnant market!

I bought the Crane comfort width toilet for my husband. The toilet is higher and wider. My husband is 6'9" and weighs 235lbs. He is by no means obese, but he sure loves this toilet and seat. I on the other hand am 5'4" and 102 lbs and I like it as well.

Hello,

I bought the Crane wide toilet and the seat is the most uncomfortable thinkg I've extra sat on, I could only sit on it for a few minutes and it began cutting into me. I'm currently searching to see if Crane sells a soft toilet seat as the one they provide in the box is extremely hard and uncomfortable, I'd say to pass on this toilet seat.
